2. Who can use SAFENTRIX?

SAFENTRIX is useful for organizations that have an email address in their own domain name (like user@acmecorp.com) and have many email addresses in that domain.

3. I have a personal Email address like one of the following:

  1. user@gmail.com
  2. user@hotmail.com
  3. user@yahoo.com
  4. user@rediffmail.com

Can I use SAFENTRIX to block SPAM/Virus in these email addresses?

No. SAFENTRIX works at the domain level and you (or your IT Department) need to have control over the domain name used in Email address. In your case, the domain names will not be in your control and therefore you cannot use SAFENTRIX.

4. How does SAFENTRIX work?

Normally, Emails come in to your email server directly. Once SAFENTRIX is setup, emails will be routed as follows:

  1. Emails come into SAFENTRIX Servers first.
  2. SAFENTRIX servers block the SPAM and Virus emails.
  3. Genuine emails (not categorized as SPAM or Virus) are sent to your email servers.

7. I have an Email server with an Anti SPAM appliance/software. Would SAFENTRIX be helpful for me?

Yes

  1. SAFENTRIX never lets SPAM/Virus emails reach your email server. Whereas your Anti SPAM device will block SPAM/Virus after receiving and examining the emails.

Let us say that your SPAM/Virus traffic is about 30-40% of overall traffic. With the current setup, this 'dirty' traffic reaches your premises and you pay for the Bandwidth.

With SAFENTRIX, the traffic does not even reach your premise and you save 30-40% on Bandwidth costs.

  2. SAFENTRIX has very competitive costs. The Standard Edition is absolutely free.
  3. SAFENTRIX is easy to manage. SAFENTRIX has no quarantine to manage. Research has found that a typical company receives 2000 emails in Quarantine and the productivity loss in managing the quarantine is pretty much the same as the productivity loss that happens when there is no SPAM Control.

8. I have a set of POP Email Addresses from a service provider. Can I still use SAFENTRIX?

Yes. In this situation, SAFENTRIX will block Virus/SPAM and forward the genuine emails to your POP Service provider. You will continue to use the same POP service provider and settings given by them.

9. What changes should I make to my existing Messaging infrastructure to implement SAFENTRIX?

None. You can keep you existing infrastructure as is and implement SAFENTRIX. With some simple changes in your domain's DNS, you can implement SAFENTRIX.

After implementing SAFENTRIX

  1. Your email servers (Hardware/Software) will remain the same.
  2. Your email clients (Webmail/Clients) will remain the same.
  3. Your email addresses/passwords/quota will remain the same.

The only thing you will notice is a drastic reduction in SPAM/Virus and Bandwidth usage!
