1. Who can setup SAFENTRIX?
SAFENTRIX implementation can be done in three simple steps and can be setup in 3 hours. However, there are some technical concepts that need to be understood to properly set it up. Therefore, the best person who can set it up for you is your domain Email administrator.
If your organization does not have an Email administrator, you can try it on your own. Detailed Installation guide is available at http://cdn.cloudfiles.mosso.com/c59822/sfx_installguide.zip
We also have partners who will setup SAFENTRIX for your domain for a one time charge. List of such partners is available at http://www.safentrix.com/partner/
2. How do I setup SAFENTRIX?The first step is to register for a FREE SAFENTRIX account at http://www.safentrix.com/register.php.
Once registered, you can follow the steps in either of these guides:
Implementation/help resources are available at http://www.safentrix.com/discussion.html. If you do need any help with steps given in the guides, you can also Chat with us Live (available on weekdays during normal office hours).
3. What are the technical steps involved in setting up SAFENTRIX?- Add an 'A' record for your domain to assure that you are the administrator for the domain.
- Add the domain to your SAFENTRIX account, specify "Delivery MX" hosts and create all email addresses in the domain.
- Change the 'MX' records for the domain to
- a.as.safentrix.com
- b.as.safentrix.com
For detailed steps, please refer to SAFENTRIX Installation Guide in http://www.safentrix.com/discussion.html
4. Will there be any downtime / loss of emails while implementing SAFENTRIX?No. After changing MX record, there may be a delay in emails (maximum of 3-4 hours) due to DNS propagation. This delay will stop within 24 hours.
Other than that, there will be no downtime or loss of emails.
5. We have setup SAFENTRIX. The domain has MX records pointing to SAFENTRIX as well as other servers. Will SAFENTRIX work? No. SAFENTRIX will function properly only if all the domain's MX records are pointing to SAFENTRIX servers. Even if one MX record points to a different server, SAFENTRIX will not function for that domain.
